Description
Are you looking for a solution to operate your SONY TC-800 or TC-770 series portable or SONY TC-560 series Stereo Tape recorder or Deck and need the cord to operate on AC power. I am offering a replacement cord that will get your unit powered up to AC. I have added pictures of the SONY tape recorders that would use this cord, to make it easier for you to identify the models that this cord will work with. Also a photo of the end of the original SONY cord (#7 photo) that is seldom seen these days. The tape recorders are NOT part of the sale! This two-conductor cord is 6 feet long, 18 gauge wire, rated for 10 amps and is approved by Underwriters Lab (UL Approved), which ensures that cords are safe to use. The original SONY cord (see 7th. photo in this listing) had a four holes in the end with a tab designed to go into the notch on the SONY tape recorder. This type of cord was used on several SONY units that operated with a DC Servo Control motor. Two upper pins conducted AC power to the unit. The lower two pins were for 12 volt DC power to operate off car battery power and required an optional cord from SONY to perform this function. The original SONY four socket cords have not been made for decades and are rarely seen anymore. If you need to operate 12 Volt DC, you can use a power inverter and plug this cord into the 117 volt AC output. This is a brand new cord and comes with instructions. Get yours while the limited supply lasts!
